I wonder if you know....
I wonder if you know that navbars take one to five minutes to appear? Even appear at all, with the "Visit a complete list of WebRing memberships here" (It isn't 'fair' if the webring you are visiting isn't detailed on the links page, the visitor can, and will, deviate to the web-ring that IS detailed there!)
I 'think' that is marked with the 'foreign' web sites, I have the russian site in mind, that has two sites in the ring, and thirteen more-or-less relevant navpanels on each. several people asked them to adjust them, webring navpanel last, and that IS unfair!
The fault is because . you don't use HTML and don't rely on the server!
It's fine to just bitch and complain, but it would be even better if you would name the site "you have in mind" because we have been unable lately to read minds. We have not had reports of slow loading navbars recently so details are mandatory if we're to consider it beyond a simple and mostly useless reply like this one.
I think the former poster was referring to
http://free.x3.hu/maxiboy21/ and http://duojenei.fx3.hu/
and not actually the russians at all!
and I can echo the feeling that the visitor gives up when sites like that are in the ring! Not helped by the List page, and not the Next and Previous, appearing when you have clicked.
Actually I am in Hamburg, Germany, and the previous poster is in the state of Schleswig-Holstein and using Broadband, for what it worth.
Oh, I meant the Hungarian Sites http://free.x3.hu/maxiboy21 and http://duojenei.fx3.hu ! Russians breathe out please....
The sites appear at CIRCUSES@WebRing (and incidentally at Theatre New Circus @RingSurf and CircusCommunity@Crickrock)
The site http://fx3.hu is slow loading, 2 or 3 minutes if you have not accessed the individual sites recently, and that is the text – graphics take longer. The navpanels are individual, 12 (or 13) in number, (all the Circus Arts web rings) and spread over the page, and the visitor gets fed up with waiting, and even forgets which ring it is! Not helping is the List page - it sometimes appears to Next or Previous instead?
I know there are others, but http://fx3.hu is the archetype due to the 13 navpanels - all separate – all on the server and not on WebRing servers.
Am I forgiven, now we have been unable lately to read minds?
(Beppo! You talk English! Have you a URL?)
